I worked out and changed what I ate and after a while I had a six pack! This journey has developed into a lifelong quest to serve others by showing them the way to permanent sustainable weight los[...].
I was with my mom at the time and I had never seen that before. So I asked her “what is that, why does that guy have all those bumps on his stomach?” And she said, “That’s a six-pack, if you work hard, and eat right you can have that too.” I took her very literally.
I remember walking through a shopping mall in the town I grew up in, and I saw a cutout poster board of a guy who had this amazing six-pack and was just in great shape.
I felt that it was because I was doing something wrong, that I was doing something to aggravate the bullies.
Now, I realize it was just because I was an easy target with a low sense of self-worth. I now know that this had really damaged my self esteem and eventually I started getting the desire to want to be the strongest and healthiest person I could be.
